In addition to playing 18 seasons in Real Madrid, legendary goalkeeper Miguel played 18 matches for Spain. He was Spain’s first choice goalkeeper in the 1978 World Cup. Four years later at home (1982) Spain was also in the hosts’ squad for the World Cup. Miguel remained with Real even after retiring in June 1986 at the age of 39. Served multiple responsibilities in the club. Goalkeepers’ coach and director of Real’s training center Ciudad Deportivo is one of them.
